St Matthew's Church Bellringers

St Matthew's has an enthusiastic and active team of ringers.

We have a weekly practice on a Wednesday evening, from 7.00-8.30 and visiting ringers are very welcome. Entry is via the main (south) door, but in case you arrive after 7.00 and the door is locked, please go to the ringing room window on the West side of the tower and call up.

Sunday ringing is for our main Morning Service from 10.30-11.00. We also have occasional quarter peals for our Evening Services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.

Ringers from St Matthew's have strong links and support the ringing at other local churches, including Christ Church Burbage, St George New Mills and St Mary the Virgin Disley.

In the 6 bell striking competition, our team qualified in the March Peak District eliminator and rang in the Diocesan final in June.

We will be having a tower outing on 14th November.
